Launch of Calum Rodger’s new poetry pamphlet PORTS

Aarcade Paradise at Super Bario for the launch of Calum Rodger’s PORTS – a selection of classic twentieth century poems reimagined as video game texts.
Things will kick off with a reading from SPAM’s own Max Parnell, followed by a reading the man himself Calum Rodger (then lots of Crazy Taxi, Yoshi, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles…)
Calum Rodger is a Glasgow-based poet working in print, performance and digital media. He likes to spend all day playing video games and call it research aka ‘chasing the virtual sublime’. Previous work includes *Rock, Star, North.* – a poetic travelogue set in the Grand Theft Auto V universe, first performed at Flint & Pitch in 2017 – and two pamphlets, *Know Yr Stuff: Poems on Hedonism* and *Glasgow Flourishes*, both published by Tapsalteerie, and he was recently declared Scottish National Slam Champion 2019.
