Douglas Stuart at Aye Write
In Conversation with Louise Welsh
Thursday 14 April, 2022 7 p.m.
Mitchell Library, North St, Glasgow G3 7DN
Douglas Stuart’s debut novel Shuggie Bain announced a striking new voice in Scottish fiction: tender but unflinching, funny and emotive. It spoke to readers around the world and won him the 2020 Booker Prize. His follow-up novel is Young Mungo, a gripping and revealing story about the bounds of masculinity, the push and pull of family, the violence faced by so many queer people and the dangers of loving someone too much. We are delighted to welcome the author to his home city for this special event at the Mitchell Library on the day of publication.
Douglas will be signing copies of Young Mungo after the event, supplied by bookselling partner, Waterstones.
