All Welcome!
The Jungle Theme is a reminder of how children felt going into OUR Winter Gardens many years ago. It was like a “Jungle ” with all those exotic plants and trees it was a different world – fascinating and educational as many people did not have gardens.
The Winter Gardens, when refurbished, will still be a place where you can view plants, enjoy a relaxing atmosphere and it will be a place of learning. It will be especially important for the younger generation where they can learn how much the planet needs plant life for its future .
The restoration of both the People’s Palace and the Winter Gardens will take approximately three years – anticipated to open in 2027. It will be worth waiting for to once again have these iconic civic amenities available to both Glaswegians and visitors to the city to enjoy. “FOREVER and EVER” as said by Lord Rosebery when they were first opened back in 22nd January, 1898.
Looking forward to seeing you at the event.
