Chozumaki, The Lighthouse Glasgow
Sonica Artist in Residence, Japan’s Nelo Akamatsu, presents Chozumaki. Inspired by the relationship between typhoon swirls and Coriolis force. This intricate installation of glass and water uses magnetic energy to produce a spiralling vortex of curious sounds.
Visitors can watch the endless undulations through the fragile vessels, and listen to each subtle, ever-changing rush and bubble through each container’s speaker-like mouth.
