Long before the current proliferation of cinematically-shot TV shows, Polish director Krzysztof Kieslowski proved that television had the scope to tell powerful, impactful stories. These ten hour-long films focus on the residents of a housing complex in late-Communist Poland. Inspiration is taken from the Ten Commandments for the themes of each individual story. The result is ten continually surprising and challenging moral dramas. This is an extremely rare chance to see a small screen classic on the big screen, over ten superb hours (with a couple of breaks!).
